Substantial Moditication & Title Change: Project Management  Program Description

University of Maryland University College proposes to modify the curriculum of the existing Upper-Division Certificate in Business Project Management and change the title to Project Management. The number of required semester hours will remain the same (18 hours). The proposed changes are based on a restructuring of the university’s overall undergraduate certificate inventory. As a result, the program has minimized finance and emphasized information systems in the core curriculum. Students who stand most to gain from the program are construction managers and computer information systems managers. Students may work toward several types of professional certifications through the Project Management Institute (PMI).
